2011 So Far...

I have been incredibly slack so far this year re: keeping the blog up to date, but I have managed to take lots of photos of our babies!

This post is a bit of a photo collage of Jack and Ivy's goings on over the past two months...

We had a very hot summer here - Ivy was clearly checking the temperature out for herself, and was probably wondering when her next spray bottle shower was due.

Visitors from afar!

Jack and Ivy had a full social calendar on Saturday! Not only did Aunty Fea pop in for another visit, two other visitors drove all the way from Canberra to meet the dragons, Aunty Julie and Dale! At first Julie was a little apprehensive about touching the lizards, but her desire to make it to the world-famous blog was so strong that she overcame her fears.

As they continue to grow, Jack and Ivy's confidence and energy also seems to grow, and they have recently been a lot more active and jumpy around people and aren't playing dead as much. I am interpreting this increased energy and jumping capability as an indication of their excitement at seeing people, and not as an enhanced desire to escape.

Uncle Josh comes to visit

Last week Jack and Ivy were paid their first visit by their uncle Josh! Here is a pic of Ivy doing her best to camouflage into Josh's jacket sleeve...

Adventures with Aunty Pip

Jack and Ivy received two visitors today, Aunty Fea popped in again to say hello, and Aunty Pip travelled all the way from Canberra as she could not go another day without meeting the dragons.

Pip commented on the cuteness of the lizards, but became a little bit flustered when holding them, particularly when Jack got a little excited, and a little too forward really for a first date, and made a grab for her chest.

Jack makes his move, much to Pip's shock!...

I think Jack took a liking to Pip and didn't want to return to his home...

Adventures with Aunty Fea

Jack and Ivy managed to fit another visitor in to their tight schedule this week...Aunty Fea! She had not had a chance to visit them since their arrival and was very excited to finally meet them!

A visit from Nan

Nanna came to visit the babies last week, and they had a lovely time sunbaking on her shoulder. She hadn't seen them in a month and commented that they had grown a lot since she saw them last. They are definitely well fed and have nice fat bellies on them :)
